Residency project

“For three weeks, I will invest the gallery in order to appropriate its image. I will set up my workshop and my thoughts there; Sporobole will become my laboratory.

Observe, capture, print, project, overprint, overlay.

For 21 days, I will focus on the texture of the place, its architecture, its spatiality, its light, its micro movements. I will capture various slices of space-time that will reflect my perception of the place. From these captured images, I will make different movements between still image / motion image, between fictional space / real space, between presence / absence.

The work will become a form of re-construction of the place; a photographic and videographic installation seeking to create an image. It will not be an end in itself, but rather a reflection of my dwelling in space, a witness to my reflections on the medium.

Playing on the hybridization between photography and video allows me to create representations that do not belong to any reality; I try to ensure that each project emanates a temporality specific to the work. I weave with the medium and the representation. In this interweaving, I explore the time of the image through the figure of the landscape.

This landscape, I want to build it.”
